Cling film – cheap, but good?

Many tattoo artists, including high-class artists, still insist on using this classic tattoo dressing. The reason is simple: price. Cling film is very cheap and readily available - you can buy it even in a discount store. It also fulfills its role: it indeed protects a fresh tattoo from dirt or abrasions, while protecting clothing from contamination with blood and plasma.

However, cling film has one significant drawback: it is not breathable. It is therefore important not to wear it for longer than a few hours. It is usually recommended to remove the film immediately after returning home and replace it with a new one every 3-4 hours during the first 24 hours. During this time, do not apply any care products to the tattoo. Later, you can leave the tattoo uncovered or apply the film only at night, for example, to avoid irritation.

Remember:

Before changing the film (or any other dressing), always wash the tattoo under lukewarm water with a disinfectant, such as delicate Tattoo Eazer Foam.
