Cheyenne SOL Nova 2.5 is a corded pen-style tattoo machine with a fixed 2.5 mm stroke, designed primarily for soft shading and creating smooth tonal transitions. Its brushless DC motor, wide frequency range, and Steady and Responsive modes allow you to adjust the operating characteristics to your technique and skin resistance.

2.5 mm stroke for shading

The short 2.5 mm stroke provides a gentler operating characteristic than variants with a longer stroke. The machine works well for soft shading, delicate tonal transitions, and work requiring gradual saturation build-up.

The operating behavior can be further adjusted by changing the frequency, needle protrusion, and choosing the appropriate cartridge configuration.

Steady Mode and Responsive Mode

The Cheyenne SOL Nova allows you to choose between Steady mode and two levels of Responsive mode. A switch on the body lets you change how the motor reacts during operation.

In Steady mode, the force and hit frequency remain constant. This ensures predictable, uniform operation regardless of changing skin resistance.

Responsive Mode reacts to skin resistance, adjusting the motor's performance. Two levels are available: R1 for a soft response and R2 for an even gentler characteristic.

Motor and operating frequency

The brushless DC motor operates at a frequency of 25 to 150 Hz. The wide adjustment range allows you to match the operating speed to the type of shading, the cartridge used, and the tattoo artist's individual technique.

The permissible voltage range is 4.7 to 12.5 V DC. With a Cheyenne power supply, the frequency is set directly using buttons. In the case of a compatible power supply from another manufacturer, the speed is adjusted by changing the voltage.

Compact and ergonomic design
